- Remove a ring stuck on a finger. To slide a ring off a finger easily, rub Lubriderm moisturizing lotion around the ring band and finger.
- Shine shoes. Rub a dab of Lubriderm on each shoe and buff thoroughly with a soft cloth.
- Shave. If your run out of shaving cream, slather on Lubriderm. Moisturizing cream doubles as a luxurious shaving cream.
- Tame flyaways. Simply rub a dab of Lubriderm between your palms and then rub your palms over your hair. The moisturizer will also give your hair a slight shine.
- Give a massage. Using Lubriderm as a massage oil leaves skin soft, smooth, and moisturized.
- Soothe a sunburn. After soaking or compresses, smooth on some bath oil. Then moisturize with Lubriderm.
- Eliminate static electricity in socks, panty hose, or a slip. Put on the garment, rub a dab of Lubriderm into the palms of your hands until it disappears, then rub your palms over your panty hose or slip. The moisturizer prevents static electricity from building up.
- Relieve eczema. After bathing, moisturize your skin by rubbing your body with a thin coat of Lubriderm. (In some cases, the lanolin in Lubriderm may irritate eczema.)
- Detangle mats, tangles, or knots in a dog or cat’s coat. Rub a few drops of Lubriderm into any unmanageable snarl. Lubriderm contains lanolin, the fatty substance found on sheep’s wool, which will help free the tangled hairs from the mat.
- Soften and heal the hardened skin of a corn or callus. Apply Lubriderm to the affected area twice a day and cover with a Band-Aid bandage to prevent the moisturizer from rubbing off. Keeping the corn or callus continually moisturized enables healing.
- Prevent hangnails. Moisturize your cuticles with Lubriderm every day to keep the flesh surrounding your nails soft. The moisturizer replenishes brittle nails and cracked cuticles.
- Slip on rubber gloves. Apply Lubriderm before putting on rubber gloves. The heat from washing dishes will also help the moisturizing hand cream melt in.
- Prevent hangnails. Moisturize your cuticles daily. Rub Lubriderm into the flesh surrounding your nails to keep the area soft.
- Prevent dry skin in a steam-heated or air-conditioned room. Use extra Lubriderm. Steam heat and air conditioning dry skin.
- Soothe dry, cracked, or callused paw pads on your dog or cat. Apply a few drops of Lubriderm and massage it into the pads. To prevent your pet from licking off the moisturizer, apply the Lubriderm right before meal time, so your pet will be distracted by food long enough to let the moisturizer penetrate the thick pads.
- Soothe psoriasis. Immediately after getting out of the shower or bath, rub Lubriderm over the affected area to help your skin retain water.
- Hide smaller wrinkles temporarily. Rub Lubriderm into your face once a day. The moisturizer plumps up your skin by sealing in moisture, concealing small wrinkles.
- Remove a burr from a dog or cat’s coat. Apply a few drops of Lubriderm to the burr, wait a little while for the lanolin to penetrate and soften the prickly husk, and then comb out the thing.
