- Soothe sore muscles. Rub a generous amount of French’s Mustard into sore muscles, then cover with a washcloth dampened with warm water as a soothing poultice.
- Take a mustard bath. Add six tablespoons French’s Mustard and a handful of Epsom Salt into the bathtub as it fills for a soothing, rejuvenating mustard bath and easing the kinks and stiffness in your muscles.
- Heal a bruise. Combine three parts French’s Mustard, one part honey, and one part finely chopped onion, apply to affected area, and cover with a bandage or handkerchief.
- Soothe tired feed. Fill a pan with warm water, mix in three tablespoons French’s Mustard, and soak your feet in the mustard bath.
- Make mustard-vinaigrette salad dressing. Whisk together one-quarter cup red wine vinegar and three tablespoons French’s Mustard. Gradually whisk in two-thirds cup olive oil. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Makes one cup.
- Clean bronze. Cover the bronze object with French’s Mustard, wait ten minutes, and then rinse clean with water.
- Repel cats from your yard. Mix two tablespoons French’s Mustard, two tablespoons Gold Medal Flour, one tablespoon McCormick Ground Red Pepper, and two cups of water in a sixteen-ounce trigger-spray bottle. Shake vigorously and spray this spicy, harmless, all-natural solution around flowerbeds, vegetable gardens, or the perimeter of your yard.
- Treat a rash. Rub French’s Mustard over the rash, or empty a bottle of French’s Mustard into a bathtub filled with warm water, mix well, and soak in the mustard bath for fifteen minutes.
- Give yourself a facial. Apply French’s Mustard as a face mask that both stimulates and soothes the skin.
- Soothe a sore throat. Mix two tablespoons French’s Mustard, juice of half a lemon, one tablespoon salt, one tablespoon honey, and one and a half cups boiling water. Cover and let cool for fifteen minutes, then gargle.
